What is changing
What is GKS 2.0?
The registered cash register system (GKS) 2.0 is the new tax rule for tills in Belgian hospitality. Your till and your fiscal data module (FDM, the black box) must be certified, and the sales data is passed to the federal tax authority (FPS Finance) in real time.
When does it become mandatory?
From 1 July 2026, GKS 2.0 is mandatory for hospitality businesses with a turnover of 25,000 euro or more from meals eaten on site.
What if I already have a till?
A transition period applies to existing tills. Till bought before 2018: by 1 July 2027 at the latest. Bought from 2018 to 2021: by 1 July 2028. Bought from 2022: by 1 January 2029. Always check the current rules with the federal tax authority (FPS Finance).

No, not yet. We are working on the certification and will say so here as soon as it is done. Until then you use ShopexHub for online ordering, kiosk, kitchen display and digital menu board next to your current till.
What does the till cost?
The till with kitchen display and receipt printer is included in ShopexHub Pro for 89 euro per month, excl. VAT. The GKS 2.0 module is listed under Pro, subject to certification.
