Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ShopexHub Technologies Inc. ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our website and services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Restaurant Information

When you register for ShopexHub, we collect:

• Restaurant name and contact information
• Business address and phone number
• Email address and password
• Menu items, prices, and descriptions
• Restaurant photos and logos

2.2 Customer Information

When customers place orders through your ShopexHub website, we collect on your behalf:

• Customer name and contact details
• Order history and preferences
• Delivery addresses
• Payment information (processed securely by our payment partners)

2.3 Usage Data

When a customer starts an order, we automatically collect and store on that order's record:

• IP address, for security and fraud prevention
• Referring website or source (for example Google, a QR code, or a social link), including campaign tags in the link such as utm_source or ref

We do not currently track pages visited, browsing activity before an order starts, or device/browser information.

While a customer browses, the source is held in the browser tab's session storage so it can be added to the order. It is removed when the tab is closed and is not shared with anyone else.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain our services
• Process orders and payments
• Send order notifications and updates
• Improve our platform and user experience
• Provide customer support
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Ownership

You own your data. Your customer list, order history, and all content you upload remains your property. We act as a data processor on your behalf.

We will never:

• Sell your customer data to third parties
• Use your customer data to compete with you
• Share your data with other restaurants

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission
• Secure server infrastructure with regular backups
• Access controls and authentication
• Regular security audits

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription:

• On request we delete or anonymise personal data we have no legal duty to keep
• Accounting records are kept for the legal period (7 years)
• Backups are overwritten within the normal backup cycle

The above applies to restaurant/shop accounts. The IP address and referring source described in section 2.3 belong to an end customer, who has no account with us. That data is retained on the order record for security and fraud-prevention purposes for as long as the order record exists, and is removed when that record is deleted.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data
• Object to data processing
• Withdraw consent

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@shopexhub.be
