GloriaFood Is Shutting Down: How to Migrate Without Losing Orders

Restaurant owner updating an online ordering link

GloriaFood no longer accepts new signups and is shutting down. When it closes, the ordering widget and every link to it stop working. This guide is one plan, in order: what to gather, how to switch without a gap, what you cannot transfer, and what to do in the first week. If you are still choosing a replacement, read the comparison first.

What goes wrong if you wait

Every restaurant has an ordering link somewhere: on its website, on Google Business, on Facebook, in the Instagram bio, or on QR codes printed on menus and tables. When GloriaFood closes, all of them lead to an error page. For a restaurant that takes a large part of its orders online, that is revenue lost every day without a live link. Your menu, order history and customer data on GloriaFood will not be accessible afterwards.

The rule: set up before you switch off

Get the new system fully set up and tested before you remove or disable the old one. Do not cancel GloriaFood until your new page has taken real orders.

Step 1: Gather what you need (30 minutes)

Step 2: Set up the new system (30 to 60 minutes)

  1. Create your account at shopexhub.be/starten with your restaurant name, address and hours. You get an ordering link immediately.
  2. Build your menu. Add categories and products. Or email your menu as a PDF, screenshot or plain text to info@shopexhub.be and we build it for you at no charge. Add options and allergens later if you want to be live faster.
  3. Connect payments. Connect Stripe for Bancontact and cards. You need a Belgian bank account and your business details.
  4. Place a test order on mobile and on desktop. Check that the order arrives, the notification reaches your device and the payment flow works.

Step 3: Switch your links, in this order

  1. Google Business profile (5 minutes). Usually your highest-traffic source.
  2. Your own website (15 to 30 minutes). Replace the widget or button.
  3. Facebook, including the "Order food" button.
  4. Instagram bio and a short post: "We upgraded our online ordering. Order directly at [your link]."
  5. QR codes in the restaurant (30 minutes). Generate new ones from your dashboard and replace them on tables, the counter and printed menus.

What you cannot transfer automatically

The first week after you are live

How long does it all take?

Plan on two to three hours from start to a fully switched restaurant: about 30 minutes for the new system (less if we import your menu), 5 for Google, 15 to 30 for your website, 10 for social media and 30 for QR codes. If you want us to do the menu import and a test order for you, see our migration help.
